Stingers welcome the start of the 2022 season

1st May saw a trip to Moreton CC for the start of the Super 8s season - playing the hosts and Crowthorne and Crownwood.  A league game that put 3 of our players into the top 10 of the Play Cricket MVP leaderboard for the club.   Many firsts - first game of the season, first game for 2 players, first hardball for some and first time we had played Moreton not forgetting, to the sound of a pretty melodic bell practice from the village church.  Convincingly we were victorious against Crowthorne however a very young, experienced Moreton managed the win but we were beyond no doubt that we played well and whilst the best team won, we really enjoyed the day.

This weekend sees another first with us travelling to play East and West Hendred, again in Super 8s.  Taking another 3 new players, we are developing a nice sized squad with varying strengths whilst not forgetting, we like to have fun!  Now offering the hardball and softball options - we have something for everyone.

The U11 girls is growing - still yet to play their first competitive game, we look forward to taking our new and existing squad players away to local rivals.  The enthusiasm and energy is limitless and it is rewarding working with their existing capabilities and enhancing their skills through fun games and drills.

As always, we welcome enquiries for Girls and Women's cricket.  Email:  [email protected] or [email protected]
