Saturday

In Saturdays games the 1st, 3rd and 4th XI all claimed victory with the 1st team getting 221 in the first innings with efforts from Peter Higginbottom (37), Will Hibberdine (33) and Bobby Malik (30) then bowling Harpsden 1st XI out for just 88. Dion Laban-Jeffries earnt his first 5-for in England with a ferocious spell that had the Harpsden batting line-up in shambles.

The 2nd team put up a good fight with 4 wickets from Dan Anderson and runs from Rob Mosley (47), Jameel Ahamed (43) and newcomer Joel Varghese (34) but sadly it wasn't enough to win the game.

The 3rd team continue their unbeaten run being lead by the captain Shami Widanapathirana (35*) in the chase of 158, after Zain Shahid took 3 wickets.

The 4th team narrowly won with just one wicket in hand after bowling Bradfield out for only 128 with 3 key wickets each from Ali Ansari and Adnan Syed and a brilliant spell from Jason Bowler. Captain Charles Astwood started well with 22 followed by the youngster Henry Cook who got 35 runs to aid the chase and secure victory.

Sunday

The Sunday XI had a new fixture in Crondall which led to a close defeat, Aarav Tanguturi claimed his maiden 5-for to help restrict Crondall to 223 from 35 overs. The chase was lead by Charles Astwood (32) and Daniel Longridge with a new high score of 33*. However, it wasn't enough to secure the win in the new fixture.

The Stingers Softball team continue their good form with two comfortable victories against Embrook and local rivals Wargrave with runs from Frances Howson (16*) and Elinor Longridge (16*) and 3 wickets from Chloe Bailey.

Overall, an action packed weekend of cricket with many wickets and runs.
