The Club has an online clothing store operated by Serious Cricket offering “high quality playing and team wear garments” which are “delivered directly to your preferred address within five days.”
Each year Serious Cricket hold a roadshow at the Club where clothing can be tried on and ordered.
The Club has a range of training wear available from Serious Cricket through our club shop, which a number of our juniors choose to wear, but any normal sportswear will suffice.
Where possible we prefer the young players to wear Sonning CC training wear, but this is not mandatory.
For indoor training we suggest that players bring a CLEAN PAIR of trainers to change into on arrival, especially if it has been raining outside, as we do not want to bring water or mud into the hall, these shoes must have non-marking soles.
Cricket spikes can be useful at training when the ground is wet underfoot, but they cannot be worn in our astroturf nets, so please always ensure that you also have trainers at outdoor sessions.
Players from U9 and upwards MUST wear the Sonning Coloured Match Shirt and Dark Blue Cricket Trousers please. These can be purchased and personalised from the Serious Cricket through our club shop. You can purchase your own Dark Blue Cricket Trousers if preferred.
New in 2024 we now ask our Junior Players to wear Navy Blue Cricket Trousers to accompany the Coloured Match Shirt. Our Serious Cricket club shop now stocks SC T20 Trousers which you can order, or you can source your own Navy Blue Cricket Trousers online.
Players in the U9 age group are permitted to wear blue shorts if preferred, but we stress that these must be Dark Navy Shorts please.
Please note, cricket spikes can be useful for matches when the ground is wet underfoot, but they cannot be worn on AstroTurf pitches so please always ensure that you also have trainers available.
