It is with great sadness that we learn of the recent passing of former 1st X1 Captain: Clyde Cutting.
Clyde was a dynamic leader of the Club through the 1980s. He was brilliant opening batsman, regularly scoring huge runs and was also a class act behind the stumps.
His team included other incredible West Indian players who understood the game so naturally, and they, along with some great local talent, ensured that Sonning were challenging for titles each season.
Clyde also led his players off the field most brilliantly; always being available to socialise with fellow team mates and opponents alike.
He was a great mentor to many of us as we grew in to the game.
Our love and condolences are sent to Clyde’s family and friends
