Sonning set the pace as Sandhurst sink
SONNING continue to set the pace at the top of the Premier Division as they recorded their eighth win in nine games with a seven-wicket victory against Shinfield.
Nas Bashir was unlucky to miss out on his century after being dismissed for 99, but with with Zafier Akram chipping in with a useful 40 Shinfield managed to post a total of 217-8,
Ghulam Abbas (5-50) was again the pick of the Sonning attack and Shinfield's total never looked like being enough.
Olly Clayson (52), JJ Harris (63no) and Steve Roberts (55no) all made useful contributions as Sonning stretched their unbeaten run by cruising home with something to spare on 220-3.
