SONNING bounced back from their shock defeat against Yateley the previous weekend with an impressive eight-wicket victory against Theale & Tilehurst in the Premier Division.
The victory got Sonning's title challenge back on track as they look to claim their fourth championship in the last six years.
Ghulam Abbas took 4-40 to help limit T&T to 167-9 in their innings, with only skipper Phil Stephens (49) offering any resistance.
Olly Clayson (56) and Naz Hussain (66no) then guided Sonning to a comfortable 28-point victory on 168-2.
Sonning now looks odds on to claim the title, especially as second-placed Purley slumped to a shock 36-run defeat against struggling Sandhurst.
