YATELEY extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division after a tense eight-run victory at second-placed Sonning.
After looking comfortable on 90-1 thanks to John Muir (24) and Richard Saniga (30), the league leaders surprisingly folded to 127 all out with Harvey Grout (4-37) and Duncan Parr (3-33) putting Sonning in command.
Sonning went on to make a steady start with the bat, as Richard Anderson (21) and Matt Baglow (29) took them to 70-2. However, like their title rivals, Sonning suffered a batting collapse.
A double bowling change saw seamer Richard Saniga and legspinner Chris Tull enter the attack and it was Saniga who was once again on form as he helped himself to figures of 6-26.
Stuart Lipo (3-28) took the first two Sonning wickets and returned to take the last and win the game for the visitors.
